NO!

If you are non-manager (Author, Editor or Publisher) you have fewer Dingo rights.   As it pertains to resources, you have the authority to remove yourself, nobody else.    Below is what you would see if you were "Project worker 1" -- the only person you can remove from this task is you.

Kicking yourself out

Why would you want to remove yourself from a task?   Maybe you were part of the early stages of the project, but you're done.  You don't need any more updates on how it's going.   You've made your mark and your done.   When you remove yourself, all you're doing is stopping the email notifications.  If you're a member of that project, you will always have the option of being added back by yourself or others.
