If you decide someone should no longer be part of a project, then (as a manager) edit the project and click the red icon to the right of the name you wish to remove.   Non-managers can not do this as non-managers can't edit projects.

Removing people from projects

The reason you might want to remove a person from a project is that they no longer will be able to see task items in their active list.  In general, if someone is not actively involved in the project then don't add them as a project resource.    (Exception to this:   Some clients should often be resources as a frequently updated client is a happy one.)   Should you do this, make sure your team knows to "keep it clean" in the comments area.   I've seen many Dingo installations where people (Project Resource) exchange client jabs in comments, which is never a good idea.
