I've installed Joomla from scratch and then added the Taskhopper component. But I can't see any menu like the one shown on Taskhopper documentation (http://www.taskhopper.com/demo/front.htm) after I log on the site. Is there a way to add it manually?

Just publish the mod_thopper module called TH Tasks. (generally you would set this to be visible only to registered users.)
