Adding a new project... how do you do that? Print E-mail
Taskhopper assumes this hierarchy: Company/Project/Task

Once you have TH installed, you need to add some projects. A project is a topic against which tasks are recorded. This should be some specific event within a company or department. It's anything that you assume will need to have multiple things done to it over whatever period of time that topic is active.

If you are using TH to manage clients, some will use the company as a project, however that's not a good idea if you care about tracking time or reviewing the history. e.g., If you are doing work for Acme Widgets and you're designing a new Johnson Rod, it would be better to add Acme as the Company, then Acme-Johnson Rod as the project. When the next project for Acme comes along, you'll be able to separate work for each.
