Joomla Chicago was an absolute treat! (and I'm normally a pretty critical
guy, and the only thing I didn't like was all the construction traffic -- which John Coonen promises to have fixed by their next Chicago show.)
On the quality of the speakers:
First rate all the way! The topics were all well suited for the audience,
the length of each presentation was well balanced with the amount of
feedback the audience wanted to provide. (The Q&A time at the end of
each provided a level of interaction that kept it informal and informative.)
On the venue
First class at every turn. Finding it was a snap. Parking, close and secure.
They selected a location that was only 10 minutes from OHare making it a no-brainer for those flying in and for those arriving from the north. :) The conference
rooms were comfortable, well-sized and the staff of the Renaissance
all scored high marks.
On the organizers
This show came to us via The Coffee Group Inc (John and Linda Coonen) and it's
clear they've done this kind of work before. From registration, to the coffee
breaks (I figured they would be good at that part based on their company name,
but they're really not about coffee!) to the post-show happy hour/party it was a full day of Joomla perfection.
Thanks again to all of the exhibitors and the sponsors that helped make this
a sensational event. We're already looking forward to the Denver show... no doubt, we'll be there.
