We are actively working on TH version 2.0. If this site seems neglected and without update it's because we are no longer extending the current version. The next release is a full rewrite.
As soon as we have a release date for beta, you can be certain we'll have that on the home page.
Help Desk/Sales Support and Anonymous Task Requests
TH can accept visitor requests. In most cases, new tasks are entered into TH after a member has logged into the site. However it's possible you might want visitors to be able to get a "ticket" into your Taskhopper without having to know anything about Taskhopper. The best example of this would be a new potential customer (a lead) or an existing lazy customer.
In this case, one of your menu items on your home page might be something like "Contact Us" and in that contact page, you would have two options: Send email or submit a ticket. The benefit of submitting the ticket is that it can go directly into Taskhopper so it's treated just like every other request. Here's what the process looks like:

How it works
Visitors to the guest screen would never see projects. Instead they would be required to enter four fields of information:
1. Who are they? (email address)
2. What do they want? (Item type)
3. What action is needed?
4. Description
While this is a viable way to gather a client request, we recommend you offer both. Click here to email us (a standard Joomla form) or click here to enter a ticket into our work order system. If you're using this to grab new business, make it as simple as possible.
About Notification
In the admin config section of TH, you select a default project. If you should use this feature, the email notification will go to the manager of that default project. That person (usually an admin) would then log into TH, view the ticket and assign it to the correct project and/or change the assigned_to for the task.
