First Time Here?

If you are here for the first time... Welcome!

Taskhopper Dingo is a Joomla 1.5 native component that is designed for anyone who wants to manage clients, projects and tasks. Dingo is a full rewrite of Taskhopper, the Joomla 1.0.x component that was so good it was forked more than once! (Reloaded is our recommendation) We just released Dingo this year and we're full speed ahead on making it better, not bigger. Dingo will ALWAYS be a simple/fast method of managing projects. Dingo is a license-based, FULL open source product (no encryption/obfuscation). If you have any questions, we're here.  (Michigan, Budapest and Targu Mures, Romania)

Joomla Manages Content - Dingo Connects People
1.5.3 Elvira Released Tuesday Feb 17th PDF Print E-mail

The next release of Dingo was released Tuesday, February 17th.    Because we modified the database, this update requires you run a script to add the Visible_to_public field that was needed for the visitor ticket feature.

Through the end of the month, we will give you 60 days of updates with the basic license.    If you have already purchased a copy, this applies to you as well.

Also, this update will be emailed as were the previous.  After that, we will have a system in place here to allow you to login and obtain downloads (current and past) at your convenience.    Our plan is to release new versions of Dingo at least twice per month.  Most of these changes are the direct result of user feedback.  So, if you have something in mind, tell us about it.

Visitor Tickets PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 12 February 2009 04:55

Dingo is a "ticketing system" which means that anyone should be able to submit requests for service.   In the initial release, Dingo was available only to the two primary "worker" groups:   The project managers and the resources assigned by those managers.

There is another very important group:  The Anonymous Public

As an example, let's say a city or township is using Dingo to allow residents to provide feedback for services.  A common example, this time of year, would be the large holes that appear in the center of roads.    If a visitor comes to the website for the city, you don't want them to have to create an account and login to report a request for street maintenance.   In this case, it should be something like a simple Contact Us form, but one that feeds directly into the Dingo database.

Getting Fresh Copies of Dingo PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 10 February 2009 15:47

If you purchase a copy of Dingo today, and we upgrade next week, you will receive that - no charge.   We currently are offering two products:  A 1 day support and a 30 day.    These are identical, the only difference is that with the $19 you get just one day to ask us questions, one-on-one.    That means if you email or call, we'll drop what we're doing to respond.

When a new Dingo is released (bug fixes or new features) you will be sent a copy of that without any additional payment required.   FYI:  Sending you updated copies does not increase your license count.    Updates will be sent on a regular/frequent basis for the first few months.    They will include the ZIP installer package as well as an upgrade package.   If we have made any changes to the DB, a SQL script will be included to update that as well.

If you have any other questions, write us directly or post in the forum.   Thanks again for all the feedback.
